In 2020, Sun Huafeng led the renovation project of the cave dwellings in Sanmenxia, ingeniously modifying the classic "one courtyard" layout of the traditional siheyuan to a "two courtyard" structure. This adjustment significantly improved the living experience of the space, blending the tranquility of tradition with the agility of modernity, preserving the historical charm of cave dwellings while meeting contemporary needs for natural scenery, privacy, and abundant lighting.
