Series Concept
With a concept of "Lively Purity, Returning to Simplicity," the Jil Sander fragrance series combines botany and technology to present six minimalist unisex fragrances. Each fragrance intertwines aldehydic scents with key natural essences, showcasing unique layers and depth.
This series aims to redefine traditional perfumery styles by creating a minimalist fragrance that retains only core elements: using essences, captured carbon ethanol, aldehydes, and water to create a natural atmosphere, aiming for a pure and precise expression of scent.

It embodies awareness and care, and is committed to quality and innovation.
In Jil Sander's design, precious details are often hidden, as if for oneself. The inside of clothing, the inside of a bracelet, is as precious as the outer display. Who has not fallen in love with an item for its scent or texture, not just its appearance?
After a person leaves a room, the scent on them remains. This is a different, intuitive touch. In an instant, it can bring us back to a certain environment, a certain scene, a certain sound, or a certain phrase, even evoke a forgotten memory. Desire, perfume has a subtle power that makes us perceive ourselves in a different way.

The OLFACTORY series 1 is created by five internationally renowned new and renowned perfumers.
They share a vision to elevate the ordinary to the aesthetic experience, through a fascination with personal memories, the natural or familiar environment, places, and things, achieving extraordinary expressiveness. This creation originates from pure inspiration, aiming to bring surprise and emotion to people.
The scent emphasizes the wonderful olfactory characteristics of aldehydes, which are like sparks in the scent, amplifying the distinctive traits of key notes and harmonizing the resonance of main components, releasing each natural essence appropriately, aiming to bring a new sensory experience.
The formula is simple but clever, producing a deep, unexpected, yet comfortable perfume, without any excess.

Design
The bottles of the OLFACTORY series 1 fragrances are co-created with the renowned Milan and Rotterdam design studio Formafantasma, which fully matches the series' restrained yet innovative characteristics. Formafantasma's work deeply explores the impact of ecological and social forces in contemporary design fields.
Their goal is to incorporate craft methods and feelings into the industrial production process, combining high-end craftsmanship and production technology to break the norms of traditional glass manufacturing.
After repeated experiments by designers and skilled glass manufacturers, each perfume bottle has a naturally asymmetric shape and unique glass distribution.
Enjoying it, each bottle of perfume contains a unique aesthetic experience, as all things in the world are wonderful because of their imperfections.
The bell-shaped white aluminum cap covering the bottle is both practical and beautiful, protecting the perfume from light and giving a sense of holding a precious and private artwork when the cap is removed to spray the perfume.
